Puchar Sołtysa w futbolu stołowym

Toughest opponent of your career?

Definitely Frederic Collignon. He's the only player in the world who I thought was an 'out of reach' player.

Toughest match during Pucharu Sołtysa?

Open pairs match against Piotr Leszczynski and Anna Lamperska-Duda. We were leading 2:0, suddenly the opponents kicked into second gear and eventually won 2:3.

Favourite technique/play?

Pinshot. The shot that gives you the most options, as well as the most satisfaction after using clever agility, slants, 'laughs' or other combinations.

Favourite table?

Current Leonhart. This table forces players to play more composed, tactical and thoughtful. Any Ama+ player is already a real threat to the top players and, in addition to good technique, you have to do a lot of analysis on the fly, look for weaknesses, exploit moments of inattention etc.

Favourite foosball competition?

Singles. It doesn't go well on attack then I make up for it on defence - that's how it's always been with me.

Biggest career success?

The 2014 World Singles Open Championship at the Roberto Sport tables. The first big tournament I didn't prepare for. I went with no expectations, no familiarity on these tables and I think all that gave me the slack that allowed me to win.

What do you miss about football as a sport?

Sponsors/Sponsorships. When I was at my best, I couldn't afford every tournament trip I wanted to go to. I missed out on a lot of opportunities for great results, and I dream that young talented players, of which there are more and more in Poland, will be able to compete for titles as often as possible, while promoting foosball and infecting their peers with their passion.
